Commissioned by Oxford City Council and supported by the Arts Council, UnderConstruction performed sports and competitions from English celebrations of the past, including sports that didn’t quite make it in to the popular imagination, at two key Oxford events, The Lord Mayor’s Tea Party, and the Olympic Torch Relay Celebrations.
We played knobbly knee competitions, blindfold boxing, broom hockey, and did multiple laps of Silly Walks with over 2000 general public.
No seriousness allowed here at The Bureau of Silly Sports because there’s far too much of that around already!
